That came later. Rivers was the consolation prize in the Peyton Manning draft fiasco, if I remember correctly.

Eli.  Chargers drafted him #1 then traded him to the Giants who picked Rivers #4.

Posting for the 2nd clip. Brees will be heading to NBC, but doesn't mention the capacity. If he is able to add insight like Romo, I'm hoping it will be calling games.
