Vikings and 49ers can do Buffalo a solid by beating the Jets and Dolphins this weekend.

This is one of those rare weeks where the Bills can possibly gain a game on the entire division.

It all starts with Buffalo taking care of business tonight vs the Pats.

Also need a Bengals win over the Chiefs.

Realistically OBJ is only going to a playoff team and he's not going back to the Giants. That leaves Dallas and Buffalo. Honestly I feel that Jerrah Jones will pony up a ton of money and succeed in getting him there but it'll be all for naught since the Cowboys won't be in the Super Bowl anyway.

FOX Sports' Ralph Vacchiano reports there is "considerable doubt" free agent Odell Beckham (knee) can return to play this year.

Beckham, who tore his ACL twice in a 16-month span, expects to be fully cleared later this month. Returning this late in the season, there are questions over how healthy Beckham is and whether he can contribute down the stretch. Beckham informed teams he's seeking a multi-year contract that he "hopes ends up being worth $20 million per year." That would put Beckham out of the Giants' price range. Beckham is expected to visit with Buffalo this weekend but the Cowboys remain the favorites for Beckham if the 30-year-old returns this season.

20 million a year could be better spent on new contracts for Edmunds, Poyer and to bring Beasley back for a stretch run. I think though that with Tre's restructuring the Bills have something less than 3 million in cap space. Obviously they don't need to pay Edmunds or Poyer this year so bringing back Cole is possible. Cole Beasley came up over ATOP recently. I don't post much there and don't even open PPP but I did play the devil's advocate regarding Beasley's return. While some posters thought it would be a great idea, the posters there who are on their 16th booster shot insist that Cole is a cancer and is washed up after his performance last year. (Cole played injured and gutted it out) I posted facts and statistics and articles calling him the 2nd best slot receiver in the NFL in the 2020 season and the responses sounded like they came from pajama boy who was pissed off that his hot chocolate wasn't in his favorite cup. There also was some sentiment that he couldn't play with the GOAT at Tampa because he only caught 4 of the 5 passes for 17 yards that he was targeted with in the two games that he was active. They didn't seem to understand that especially as a slot receiver he and #12 needed to spend a ton of time getting their timing down. Our GOAT in waiting understood this and put the work in for them to be on the same page.

As far as OBJ goes, Beane is smart and committed to developing and running the Bills according to his game plan. OBJ has had decreasing production for the last several years. Some of that is because of two major injuries. I'm not saying that he can't still be a fantastic addition for some team but realistically he's probably nearing the end of his prime and that is dependent on if he comes back fully healed and his injuries haven't affected him in a way that would lessen his abilities. If OBJ doesn't have enough faith in his abilities to take a short term "prove it" contract with a contender that has a great QB and passing attack then I don't want him.

That’s the real issue.  His primary value is this season.  If he can’t meaningfully contribute now it’s not worth it.

Once the offseason comes they have all sorts of options to address needs.

And there’s no way he commands a top of market deal with the injury history.  At least not without very easy outs for the team.

Realistically I would expect that if the Bills signed him in the next few days that he might get one or two regular season games in before the playoffs. The playoffs would be a poor time to find out that he just doesn't have it.
