Aaron wants out(?) Attention (?)

Maybe you're right, but I see things differently. The Packers' front office has basically wasted his career, failing to put a good team or good organization/coaching staff around him.

In 2013 during the games Rodgers played the Packers went 6-2. During the games he was injured they went 2-5-1. Compare that to New England. When Tom missed a year with an injury, Matt Cassell led them to an 11-5 record.

Without Rodgers, the Packers were (and are?) a team that will win 4 - 5 games per year. Aaron Rodgers is a great quarterback who's spent his career watching his team make bad decision after bad decision. If he wants input into personnel decisions, it's not necessarily because he's a prima donna or toxic or anything. Maybe it's because his life experience has taught him that the Packers' front office can't be trusted to do the right thing if left to its own devices.

This new Packers front office doesn't seem like an upgrade. The Jordan Love pick in particular seems like something the playoff drought Bills would have done.

crap teams don't go 13-3 back to back

they lost in the NFC championship game because Rodgers failed to deliver

Beane would not bring in the diva attitude to destroy team culture

Why did the Packers go 2-5-1 when Rodgers was out with an injury? Two possible explanations:

1) The Packers experienced a temporary dip in their talent level, causing them to win fewer games in 2013.

2) Rodgers was propping the rest of the team up, and was the one thing pushing it to have more than 4 - 5 wins on the season.

Did the Packers experience a temporary decline in talent during 2013? Consider the following:

1) The Packers went 11-5 in 2012, and 12-4 in 2014.

2) The Packers made the playoffs each year from 2009 - 2016.

3) The Packers went 6-2 in 2013 during the 8 games in which Rodgers played.

I look at the above and conclude that the Packers had as much talent in 2013 as they've had for the vast majority of Rodgers' career. The effect of losing Rodgers to injury in a different year would have been just as devastating as it was in 2013. (Depending on the quality of the backup quarterback, of course.) The Packers have been winning games and going to the playoffs because Rodgers has been propping up what is otherwise a very mediocre team.

Maybe you look at all this and see something different. That's fine. There's no way to know for sure which of us is right, and the world will keep spinning even if one of us has an incorrect view about Rodgers' contributions to the Packers. 🙂
