What a day of college football.

Iowa, ND, Michigan and A&M all rally late.

ND and Michigan rallied against lesser opponents

Iowa rattled a true freshman backup QB

A&M was the most impressive for taking out Leviathan.

OU’s frosh QB looks like the real deal.  He was throwing darts today.

Rattler’s draft stock dropped by about four rounds in the last week.

CFP rankings out.

No surprise they’re setting it up to get both SEC teams in.
Cincinnati will need a ton of help.

Big10 is getting someone in.

Surprised OU is only 8 and Oregon is 4 (with a bad loss).

Depending on outcome of SEC title game,, gonna be either

1 Alabama, 2 Ohio St, 3 Oregon or Oklahoma, 4 Georgia

Or

1 Georgia, 2 Ohio St, 3/4 Oregon & Oklahoma

Ohio St gonna win out, which includes a win over Sparty (who also has Purdue and Penn St on their schedule)

Wake, maybe if Oregon or Oklahoma falters

Cincy won't be invited to sit at the grown ups table

Coming down to the wire....

Georgia obviously is already in.

Based on how OSU is playing, I don't see any way they lose to Michigan or Wisconsin/Iowa. But if Michigan did somehow win the Big 10 title, they'd be in.  So assuming neither of those teams screwed up in the Big10 title game, that spot is locked up.

Still 3 horses in the Big 12 race, and I expect whoever survives that with only one loss will get in.

Cincinnati should be next, and only them tripping up could potentially open the door to Notre Dame (still a long shot regardless).

That leaves Alabama and the big question.  If they lose to Georgia, does the committee finally announce that winning games no longer matters in college football and all you need is your pedigree to guarantee a spot in the 'national' championship playoff.

As always, they continue to ruin college football more every year, so I'm sure they'll end up doing the worst possible thing.

Big question will be whether the committee will finally announce that the games don't actually mean anything

Great post.

I really can see a two loss Alabama getting in , even over Cincinnati, Because "everyone knows" how good they are.

😡

I simply won't watch.  I've barely paid attention it to most years anyway since it became the 'SEC and Friends Invitational' tournament.

Georgia is in

Winner of B1G is in

Winner of Big12 is in

If Alabama beats Georgia, they are in

If Georgia beats Alabama, and both the Big 12 and B1G champs have 1 loss, Cincy is snubbed for Notre Dame

If Georgia beats Alabama, and either the Big 12 or B1G champs have two losses, 2-Loss Alabama will get in
