I was watching a program on college football 'Games of the Century' the other day;  games like:

 

'88 ND / Miami

'06 USC / Texas

'86 Miami / PSU 

'93 ND / FSU

'71 Nebraska / OU

'66 ND / MSU

 

It occurred to me we don't have games like that anymore in college football because if we do.....they are made completely meaningless when both teams are put in the playoff anyway.  Under no circumstances should teams play each other more than once in a season.

 

So yeah, I think the playoff thing sucks.
