I'm not sure I'd go there.  It's hard to argue with Walter Payton, especially considering the numbers he put up on historically bad teams (he was their leading receiver more often than not).   He may have been the best ever at picking up blitzes - he just punished people.

 

I was too young for Jim Brown and it was a much different game then.
