Crap Throwing Clavin
Just now, Foxx said: It sounds like you have two sumps, a main and back up. I have a Pump Spy at my properties for peace of mind. Added to cart. It's not a main and a backup, though. Two mains. Because of the way the additions were built on to this house, we have sumps in two different locations - the old foundation wall is now an interior wall in the crawlspace, that the crawlspace drain doesn't go through. So...two drains, two sumps, two pumps. And before I changed it, several years ago, one of the pumps' outlets was directed in such a way that it ended up pumping water back into the crawlspace. It's a screwy house. The previous owner had grand visions, but narrow abilities. 1

You'll thank me for the Pump Spys. Even though I have new pumps myself, it allows me to sleep at night. Make sure you set the high water sensor just as the instruction tell you. Even if WiFi capabilities fail... It will still act as an outlet. Early ones were tricky to get up, configure... But not bad as some complain. I put one on my ejector pump (hung plumbing in basement) too... Like you said, good piece of mind having "smart pumps." No monitoring fees also. Highly recommend.

If there is any drawback, the app can be hinky at times.
