Do You Still Play Madden?

So I did a little reading up on this and it turns out the exclusive rights deal was set to expire this year, but the NFL ass raped the fans again by agreeing to a five year extension.

 

I understand the NFL is a business that exists to make money, but their overtly "&#%$ the fans" attitude wrt things like this and Sunday Ticket really turns me off to their brand as a whole.

Why would a current NFL video game have a guy in it that has not played a down since 2016?

You’re thinking of Madden Ultimate Team, which is a totally separate game mode from Franchise Mode.

 

MUT is a pay to win game which requires spending money, Franchise Mode is free to play, and allows you to take control of a franchise where you act as the GM over the course of 30 seasons. It’s very detailed.

Let me guess....his rating is higher than a third of the starting QBs actually playing in the league.

Thanks for the clarification. I've heard of MUT but I don't think that was around when I played. I was a big fan of franchise mode in the mid 2000s, but then it went all to hell.
