I think the reasons are:

 

1) emphasis on availability when drafting/signing players

2) schemes - both runblocking on O and mainly zone pass D

3) world class medical staff & facility

 

I'd love for them to use zone reach cutback run plays (think Terrell Davis) on O and Jerry Glanville 0 blitzes every play, but that would probably increase their injury rate.
