This is the type of game that McD chokes on.  Defense will be in base nickel and get embarrassed.  The OLine will be overwhelmed, Josh will be frustrated the entire night, and the run game will struggle.  I have a bad feeling about this game.  I really hope I'm wrong and have to eat crow.

I don't like it either, unfortunately. In the same way I didn't like the Jacksonville game. Though, I'm less cerebral about it.

 

You don't follow a team like the Bills as long as I have without reading the tea leaves from the media. I never liked it when Dr. Z spent four years predicting the Bills SB victories in Sports Illustrated, and I didn't like it when people start pointing at the Bills as the SB favorite in 2021 season, and I really don't like it when they start musing about Pats* v. Bucs Super Bowl half way through the season.

 

This is precisely the game the Bills lose this year. Big time marquee matchup at home for first place. The weather doesn't help since we can barely run the ball.

 

This is actually why the Pats* fan is suddenly here. He's setting up shop for a post-game told-you-so.

The media types who make these predictions don't bother me - it's their job and people want to hear it.  Besides, they're usually wrong, which I think you inferred.  What I don't get about the Bills SB predictions are: what has McD done to indicate that he can get to the SB?  Last year's AFCCG was miles out of his reach for victory, given the game plan he rolled out by way of his coordinators.  I don't see how McD out-coaches Belichick, that is a big ask.

Outcoaching Belicheat* isn't my concern. By hook or by crook, they did get two wins last year, albeit one of them looked pretty bad before Zimmer got to Cam to end it. But they say you have to learn how to win, and they did that last year because they believe in their coach(es).

 

The Tre White injury hurts more than I think some want to admit, and the Bills have been quite susceptible to where the Pats* like to hit you; underneath, short passes until they get the shot to take the deep one.

Yes and no. You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger homer than me. And yes, my ass is still chafed after the past 20 years, but the Jacksonville and Colts games are fresh in my head. We like to think this is a team that can play from behind, but this year our QB has clearly been leaving some missed opportunities on the field in search of catching up quickly, and it has cost us games.

 

You have room for error when you're playing a struggling fish team or depleted Saints team. But everyone knows there are few more disciplined teams than the Pats*. And the Bills just don't have that discipline yet.

3 points for the home team, right?  The teams are pretty even right now.  Pats have momentum and BB and Bills have a better roster and QB (for now).

 

The division and maybe even the conference will come down to which team handles the rest of their schedule better IMO.

So, as I said a few days ago welcome aboard. I dont think it is that close. We win by 11 only because we let you make a drive in the last waning minutes of the game. Mac has never played in as cold a game as he will see this week. Also his arm will not handle the wind. This is the first of 2 wins against the Pats this week . Bills 31- Pats 20

I'm guessing one of the two games will be that type of game planning mismatch and resulting easy NE win.  The other game will be down to the wire.  I just hope Bills can pull that one out and salvage a split.

A split would certainly be better than a NE sweep; only problem with a split is that NE probably needs to lose at least another game in their remaining schedule, if not two.  I really don't like this matchup with regards to our paltry running game, OLine woes, and the type of defense we run; none of which are conducive to beating NE.
