Betty White Dead at 99

I remember her from the 1970's game show Match Game.  Also, the Mary Tyler Moore show.  A far cry from perhaps her most widely known role as Rose on The Golden Girls in terms of character.  She certainly could have and most likely did to some extent teach younger aspiring actresses the finer points of the craft.

They changed the whole lineup on TV Land to The Golden Girls tonight. Hallmark is showing Christmas movies still.

RIP to an American icon. She was a better comedian than Gracie Allen.

Betty was indeed an icon.

But Gracie Allen NEVER failed to make me laugh.

Her timing is the standard for all comedians.

Haven't seen anyone posting these, but they are, far and away, my favorite Betty White moments.

First, she's on set waiting for things to happen with Rue McClanahan, Rue starts telling her a joke, and the natural joy between them is funny as hell. From '85.

And then, one of her lines in her appearance in the weird movie "Lake Placid."
