RkFast
I need someone to explain to me in small words so Ill understand that when the Soviets parked a bunch of nukes in Cuba, or controlled parts of Europe, it was a bridge too far that we had to take action on, but its perfectly fine for the US to have bases and troops all throughout Europe and now for nations bordering on Russia to partner with and eventually join NATO, allowing for us to put heavy weapons on Russia's doorstep. Foxx
The Cuban Missile Crisis was precipitated by the US stationing Jupiter missiles on Russia's border, in Turkey. The Cuban Missile Crisis was basically a self defense maneuver by Russia. Of course, back then I doubt the Main Stream Media reported that insignificant fact. Deranged Rhino
They need a narrative changer -- war is going to be it. The only question now is if it'll be nuclear.

The Cuban Missile Crisis, and Cold War strategy in general, is an example of fighting the last war. Europe did nothing to stop Hitlers aggression in the 1930s which led the US to eventually enter the European theater of WWII. So postwar America decided to preemptively check the world's new bully, rather than eventually go to war with a more entrenched adversary
Deranged Rhino
Lots of troop and equipment movement over the past few weeks. Friends in that line of work telling me they expect if things are going to go hot they will do so by second week of February based on the buildup.

Thats another one....just think to yourself that there are shenanigans with events within our borders and youre outcast as a kook. Yet, heres the Feds going full-on InfoWars circa 2002 and the corporate media just laps it up, no questions asked. Really amazing, isnt it? And it’s one of the establishment’s favorite cudgels. They say it never happens, knowing full well they do it all the time (as do others) — they don’t deny it to escape accountability (because they’re already above the law), but to foment more division and fighting among the people trying to sort out truth from fiction. Deranged Rhino
This remains a (dis)information war. And the Biden administration knows they're getting pummeled on all fronts. They've lost control of the narrative, simply "ending" Covid (as they're trying to do now) won't work and they know it. They need a true game-changer. Enter: WAR... or at least the threat of one.

Foxx
As things in the region ramp up, this is once again rearing it head. Japan claims sovereignty over Russian territory Quote Tokyo will not give up its claim that Russia’s southern Kuril Islands in the Pacific Ocean are rightfully Japanese, and wants to reach a deal with Moscow to resolve the dispute, its foreign minister said on Tuesday. Speaking at a press conference, Yoshimasa Hayashi responded to claims by his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov that Tokyo is refusing to recognize the results of the Second World War, when the Soviet Union took control of the Kuril Islands. ...
