The Saints are $70M above the cap and don't have a starting quality QB on the roster; Taysom Hill has a cap hit of $12M and dead cap of $19M, and I don't think he'll lead them anywhere.  Sean Payton doesn't want to be part of this

Payton could sit out for a year or two while the Saints suffer through the shedding of their excess salary, then come back just in time to cash in a high draft pick on his quarterback of the future.
