I loved WKRP. May he RIP.

  He would have been 82 in a few weeks had he hung on a while longer.  He did some television back in the 1960's well before his golden era of the late 1970's-early 1980's.

Of course best remembered for WKRP, but this also reminds me of one of my all-time favorite bad movies:  Doctor Detroit.

He was a semi-regular on the Bob Newhart Show as a failing TV producer patient of Bob's w/ some reeeeaaaally bad ideas of TV shows.

 

Must've been DR'S inspiration.  😉
