Ann
Realizing that Beane said the Bills probably will not be big spenders this off season and this is the 2022 Salary Cap thread, they will add some talent (FA and Draft). Here's the PFF list of the Top 100 NFL Free Agents for 2022. This is what they think the team needs are: BUFFALO BILLS: DI, WR There aren’t many holes on this Buffalo team, which has been one of the NFL’s best over the past couple of years. Getting deeper and younger at wide receiver would be wise, but the interior defensive line should be the main focus. Ed Oliver performed admirably in 2021 with a 71.8 PFF grade, but Harrison Phillips and Vernon Butler are set to hit free agency. The Bills could be in need of a defensive tackle, and they could look to fill that hole in the 2022 NFL Draft. Georgia interior defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt — the highest-graded player at the position in the Power Five in 2021 — is a name to watch. Agree? Disagree? Who you signin'? Sammy Watkins is a free agent.
Ann
I think the Bills will be looking for a corner. There seem to be a ton that are available in free agency, including inexpensive Levi Wallace. This is what PFF had in their top 100. Makes me think the Bills are going to draft a corner, but what do I know? 🤷♀️ 6. CB J.C. Jackson, New England Patriots ($18M/ year projected) 15. CB Stephon Gilmore, Carolina Panthers ($14M/ year projected) 16. CB Carlton Davis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($17M/yr projected) 20. CB Darious Williams, Los Angeles Rams 25. CB Casey Hayward Jr., Las Vegas Raiders (32 years old) 45. CB Steven Nelson, Philadelphia Eagles 47. CB Bryce Callahan, Denver Broncos 48. CB Donte Jackson, Carolina Panthers 67. CB Charvarius Ward, Kansas City Chiefs 76. CB D.J. Reed Jr., Seattle Seahawks 84. CB Robert Alford, Arizona Cardinals (33 years old) 93. CB Patrick Peterson, Minnesota Vikings 99. CB Joe Haden, Pittsburgh Steelers (33 years old) 1

Sooooo does that mean the Bills are big players this off season!? 😉
Alaska Darin
As I posted in the salary cap thread: We can do pretty much whatever we want. Beane has plenty of flexibility based on what's currently in place.
Core Four
37 minutes ago, Ann said: Sooooo does that mean the Bills are big players this off season!? 😉 I think they'll be players, but not on guys like Jadeveon Clowney. No big splashes, but hopefully solid guys to fill in what they couldn't get through the draft. I expect to see them shed older, high price guys like Hughes, Addison, Daryl Williams, Sanders, AJ Klein, and Star; as well as younger guys who just didn't pan out, such as Butler. I'd also expect contract restructures on guys like Morse, Poyer, Hyde, and possibly Diggs who they will want to retain for the long term. Edmunds will be an interesting case - how they restructure his 5th year option will be telling about their true feelings on his level of play. If they can't reach a deal on Edmunds, $12.7M is a lot to spend on him for one year.

That is it, the rest can go.

I didn't realize he was that good on special teams. IIRC, he was drafted to be a nickel DB but that hasn't worked out.
Taro T
They're gonna bring 'em all in. EVERYBODY wants to play w/ Allen & will go for team friendly deals to do so. 😉 (Hey, we can dream, right?)

And I can't stand seeing him in pass coverage. He drives me up the wall. But it's genuinely surprising how effective he is in punt and kick coverage.
