Max von Sydow as Ming the Merciless is some of the best casting ever.  Brian Blessed chewing the scenery like he knows what sort of movie it is.  Timothy Dalton and Topol as well...all billed behind a Playgirl centerfold and Rigid Tools poster girl who never did anything else in their careers.
