I had to watch it several times.

 

I have never seen a horse come from so far behind, weaving in and out of at least three tight spots.

At one point it looked like that horse was moving twice as fast as all the others. That was a memorable Derby.

$15K.  If you picked the top 4, it was $320K.  The seas parted giving him the opportunity;  jockey did a nice job hitting that hole at 3/4 mile and then making a quick cut around a fast fading Messier before the final sprint.  Even the track announcer didn't see him coming until the last second.

 

There used to be one or two knowledge horse posters ATOP, and some good pre-Triple Crown chat.  Can't remember if Ken was one of them.
