‘ He was a ton of fun to play with' | Eric Wood remembers Ryan Fitzpatrick's Buffalo career

</snip>

In his four seasons as a Bill, Fitzpatrick started 53 out of 55 total games. He racked up 11,654 passing yards with 80 touchdowns and 64 interceptions. He also had 175 rushing attempts for 822 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. The Harvard graduate ranks fifth on the Bills' list of all-time passing leaders behind Josh Allen, Jack Kemp, Joe Ferguson, and Jim Kelly.

Fitzpatrick always had a special place in his heart for Buffalo. In 2020 while he was the QB for the Dolphins, he said on The Adam Schefter Podcast that Buffalo was his favorite NFL city to play in and to play for. Fitzpatrick came back to Buffalo in 2022 for the Bills' Wild Card playoff game against the Patriots.

Around the 30 minute mark... (30 minutes, 30 seconds)

Josh Allen is Fitz's favorite QB. He really had some nice things to say about Josh.

For the shirtless photo:
He decided to make the Bills playoff game his trip (with some of his boys)
In the parking lot his kids were like, "We are taking our shirts off..."
Through the whole game the kids wanted to do the shirts off.
Fitz said after the seventh touchdown he felt it was time.
He lasted 3 minutes.
After 10 minutes he made his kids put their shirts back on.

Then he goes on to say very nice things about Buffalo after that.
"One of the great pleasures of his career was playing in Buffalo."

Fitzmagic for The Bills Wall of Fame! He belongs on The Ring.

Not sure Fitzy is Wall Worthy.  Only 4 year stint.

I say have a Fitzpatrick Appreciation Day against either the Jets or Dolphins, and let him lead the charge onto the field

But if Nix doesn't get Punk'd he'd've been in Buffalo until Allen showed up.

Not going to hold an old guy falling for the phone equivalent of a Nigerian Prince needing Buddy's bank account # to save his country against Fitzbeardy / Fitzmagic.  Maybe do a 3 for 1 with him Freddie Jackson & Stevie Johnson.

If it were me, I'd have thanked "856 of my 857 former teammates," and drove Twitter nuts trying to figure out just who the hell I left out.

I'd also put in there, in small print, "this space intentionally left blank."
