Disney’s “The Insurrection!”

This is quite possibly the most absurd moment in American history. Either this will get ignored and change nothing or more Americans will finally say enough with this bullshit and vote out these swamp creatures en mass come November. I’m not too hopeful.

The Insurrection!  What a show!

The Insurrection!  Here we go!

We know you wish we would go away!

But the Insurrection's here and it's here to stay

Chilling!!

So let's pretend for a moment that a few dozen yahoos actually did get into the House Chambers, 'blocked the constitutional transfer of power', and AOC was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for singlehandedly leading all the Congresscritters through the catacombs to safety.....while dodging sniper fire....and wearing a properly fitted mask.

And then....what do YOU think would have happened?

a) Cops get their shit together, yahoos are arrested, House reconvenes a couple hours later and completes the ceremonial vote electing Early Stage Joe.

b) Everyone goes home and Trump somehow just stays as President.

"...the first non-peaceful transfer of power in our history", my fanny.

I read the first sentence of that, and was honestly confused for a moment if he was talking about the Democrats' "resistance" against Trump.

Disingenuous ass-rat.

I suppose those two options are better than the third, where they all punt and declare Nancy to be President for Life.

It is legitimately illegal to disrupt a session of Congress.

It is not however, an insurrection or a coup.  Even if that session is certifying an election.  You can't overturn the results of an election by interrupting its certification by Congress.  :wallbash:

Is it part and parcel of the illegality for the House police to open the doors to the Capital for what they know are protestors?

For protesters, yes.  But they didn't know these so-called "protesters" were actually insurrectionists.  So the insurrectionists are additionally guilty of lying to federal law enforcement!!!  [/disingenuous ass-rat]

Who would you rather see produce a Hollywood-style congressional report.

1) Michael Bay, with one of his patented cocaine-fueled explosion spectacles?

2) Roland Emmerich, with one of his clinically sociopathic "end of the world" spectacles?

I'm thinking I'd prefer 2, but I'm thinking it's going to end up being an M. Knight Shyamalan soporific surprise-twist snooze-fests.

They'd cast Dwayne Johnson as Schiff, to make him out to be as heroic as possible.

Progressives would eat that shit up.

I'm thinking a Denis Villeneuve dystopian b production might be the way to go since I'm sure that is how it is going to be portrayed.
