"Expect" is a bit strong but I won't be one bit shocked if they do exactly that.  The goaltending needs to get closer to the NHL mean for it to happen.

I don't know about expect but I can see us making it. That's about it, we are too young to make a run for the cup imo. Good start already though, Tampa got handled by the Rangers...

Personally, don't expect them to, but do expect them close & won't be surprised if they do get there.

 

But they sure as #### better expect to make them.  They need to have the attitude that not only can they win every game but they will & will be pissed off when they don't win.

 

If Comrie can play like he did in Winnipeg, playoffs are definitely possible.

Appears Anderson gets the start tonight.

 

If the game is tight, look for Cozens to get bumped into Asplund's spot & Asplund to bump into Quinn's spot in the 3rd.

If the Sabres are protecting a 1 goal lead wouldn't be surprised if Lyubushkin takes a shift or 2 from Jokiharju.

 

Am looking forward to tonight way more than last season's opener which worked out pretty well.  (A smackdown of the Habs.)

So much potential if the two rookies click up front. And then there’s Rochester that looks like they’ll have a rookie on the ice pretty much every single second of even strength hockey. There’s an incoming flood of talent.
