As far back as I can remember I've always preferred longer nights and shorter days. I suppose it's partially because autumn is my favorite time of the year and resetting the clocks helps to reinforce that feeling. Besides, around here no matter the time of year or time of day, the sun is always hot. Even when the air is cool the sun is always hot. The sooner it dips below the horizon, the better for me.

When kids were ver little, under 5 or so...man did i dread the turn back clock day. Longest day of the freking year by a mile. Up at 4:30, they needed their nap at 11:30...but you tried to keep them up till normal time 12:30...then they wanted to fall asleep again at 6:30...and oh boy that last hour of keeping them up till 7:30 was so much fun!!! Now that i am old man myself, i will be up at 3:30 Sunday morning, with over 9 hours in front of me till the Bills game starts....still freaking hate we turn back the clocks

One of the worst feelings to hit the street and it is already dark. And no relief until about March.

Maybe it is a function of being up north. I hate the period from Sunday through the first day of winter. Then at least the corner is turned and the days get longer.
