Foxx
Some AFC notes: After last weeks games, the Bills have once again gained the #1 seed for the AFC Playoffs! KC is #2, Ravens #3, Titans #4, Bengals #5, Dolphins #6 and the Jets #7. On the outside looking in are the #8 *Patriots, #9 Chargers and #10 Raiders. The Bills, +124 in point differential, are still #1 in the AFC, but after Dallas' shellacking of the Colts on SNF last week, they are now #2 overall. Random Playoff Notes: The Chiefs can win their seventh straight AFCW crown if they beat the Broncos and the Chargers lose to the Dolphins (boo). Over in the NFC, for the second week in a row, the Vikings have a chance to win the NFCN. They can do so with a win or a tie against the Lions this weekend. The Eagles can also secure a playoff spot by beating the Giants. If they happen to lose, they can still grab a spot if the 49ers and Seahawks both lose. Buffalo, KC, Miami and Cincy all could come out of this weekend with the AFC #1 seed. If the Jets, currently in the 7th playoff position, lose and either the *Patriots or the Chargers win, New York would fall out of a playoff spot. ESPN's Playoff Machine is up and running. Have fun! Noted AFC Stats: Defensively - Bills are 10th in total defense (17th pass; 5th rush) and 4th in points allowed @ 17.4 pg *Patriots are 7th in total defense (10th pass; 11th rush) and 7th in points allowed @ 18.8 pg Jets are 4th in total defense (7th pass; 12th rush) and 6th in points allowed @ 18.6 pg Dolphins are 17th in total defense (21st pass; 9th rush) and 25th in points allowed @ 24.1 pg Offensively - Bills are 2nd in total offense (3rd pass; 8th rush) and 3rd in points scored @ 27.8 pg *Patriots are 24th in total offense (20th pass; 23rd rush) and 20th in points scored @ 20.8 pg Jets are 17th in total offense (15th pass; 20th rush) and 18th in points scored @ 21.0 pg Dolphins are 4th in total offense (2nd pass; 28th rush) and 8th in points scored @ 24.9 pg Defensively - Chiefs are 16th in total defense (23rd pass; 6th rush) and 15th in points allowed @ 22.5 pg Titans are 22nd in total defense (31st pass; 3rd rush) and 11th in points allowed @ 20.0 pg Ravens are 13th in total defense (25th pass; 2nd rush) and 9th in points allowed @ 19.7 pg Bengals are 12th in total defense (16th pass; 15th rush) and 13th in points allowed @ 21.3 pg Offensively - Chiefs are 1st in total offense (1st pass; 17th rush) and 1st in points scored @ 29.2 pg Titans are 29th in total offense (30th pass; 15th rush) and 26th in points scored @ 18.3 pg Ravens are 14th in total offense (26th pass; 3rd rush) and 12th in points scored @ 23.8 pg Bengals are 5th in total offense (4th pass; 26th rush) and 7th in points scored @ 26.0 pg Remaining schedules (not including this weeks games): all week 18 games are TBD Bills: 2 home 2 road vs. Dolphins (Sat Night) @ Bears @ Bengals (Mon.) vs. *Patriots *Patriots: 2 home 2 road @Raiders (Sun. night) vs. Bengals vs. Dolphins @Bills Dolphins: 2 home 2 road @ Bills (Sat Night) vs. Packers (Christmas) @ *Patriots vs. Jets Jets: 2 home 2 road vs. Lions vs. Jaguars (Thurs.) @ Seahawks @ Dolphins Chiefs: @ Texans vs. Seahawks vs. Broncos @ Raiders Titans: @ Chargers vs. Texans vs. Cowboys (Thurs.) @ Jaguars Ravens: @ Browns (TBD) vs. Falcons vs. Steelers @ Bengals Bengals: @ Buccaneers @ *Patriots vs. Bills (Mon.) vs. Ravens

I don't want to look too far ahead (the Bills have a lot of business to attend to before then) but that trip to Cincinnati in week 17 might be for the #1 seed. 36 minutes ago, Foxx said: If the Jets, currently in the 7th playoff position, lose and either the *Patriots or the Chargers win, New York would fall out of a playoff spot. That would be great! Jet fan heads exploding.

The Bengals might just have the toughest remaining schedule after this week. Though, they have never beaten the Browns with Burrow at the controls, that may include this week's game as well.

And, even if they don't get the #1, we can't trip up because KC is always there.

I would not be surprised if the Bengals had a big letdown after last week but Watson needs to play measurably better than he did last week. I was really surprised at how bad he was - he was missing even on easy throws to wide open and stationary targets.

Best we might be able to hope is that Patty looks like crap and stumbles in the MVP race. That’s possible. The broncos winning seems unlikely. I imagine Spags is gonna let Russ cook himself into a nice tender jerky.
