My wife is the queen of Christmas decorating.  On Friday after Thanksgiving down come the Thanksgiving decorations and up go Christmas.  It takes her about a week for inside/outside.

After Thanksgiving, but this year I may do it sooner. For some reason, the older I get the longer it takes to decorate.

Not doing a lot of decorating this year.
last year was the first year we did not do Christmas at our house.
first for the granddaughters to be home

If we didn’t have Christmas Eve here, I would not decorate either.

My wife was all over it in October. She made a "fall tree" with sunflower decorations.

Suffice to say, by Noon on November 1st it was fully decorated for Christmas. I don't celebrate, but I do help with decorations. I handle all window projector effects.

Which reminds me, I need to post some pics of those from Halloween in that thread...

Artificial? You can have that "tree" for many years.

To @Annand @mead107, artificial tree is like ketchup on a hot dog, sure tell of a communist.

Hmmm aren't you for saving the environment? You know how long it takes to grow a tree? 🤔

I usually put ours up at the beginning of December.

The new thing though, is that we leave it up for several months.

Re-Decorate it for Valentine's day,

Re-Decorate it for St. Patricks Day.

Then take it down.

My mother did that for a few years, and they had a real tree!! By Easter it was pretty crunchy.  Eventually, she switched over to a small artificial tree for Valentine's and Easter.  I am sure that was safer.

Tree farms grow trees, they are meant to be harvested, and new are planted right where the old ones were......and the money stays with  hardworking American farmers .

OTOH, artificial tress are made in China, and all proceeds go the CCP..hence artificial trees are a sign of a communist!
