Week 13: BILLS vs 49ers : The Aftermath

This team can beat the Steelers next week. No question in my mind.

They are building a brick at OBD. One of the things I love most about this team was not just beating a good defense, but showing you the flaws in building a team whose success primarily relies on establishing the run first. If you rely on run first to go play action, like the 49ers and like the Titans, and you fall behind, you're screwed.

But this team has no interest in relying exclusively on being able to do one thing well to be able to do another thing as your path to victory.

We're going to throw to win, or we're going to run to win, or we're going to do whatever we need to do to exploit the opponent's weaknesses.

Oh, and turn the ball over  and you are nailed to the bench for a bit.

Absolutely.  They've had a relatively easy schedule including Ravens without their starting QB.  It will get real for the Steelers next week against the Bills.

How is he not being mentioned for mvp

Good. The only title he needs is the super bowl.  Keep him hungry.

Every time we hear about mvp josh Allen he has an off game.

Josh Allen puts forth a sublime performance as Bills top 49ers 34-24 in Arizona

</snip>

The 49ers, who entered the game ranked fourth in the NFL in pass defense with an average yield of just 206.5 yards per game, were torched by Allen and his stable of receivers. Allen had 236 yards by halftime alone, and Beasley already had a career-high 113 yards by the break. It was a clinic.

</snip>

The 49ers took over and it looked like they’d be punting from their end zone, but a terrible 25-yard pass interference call on Levi Wallace bailed out the 49ers and gave them a first down. From there, they blew through the Bills defense until they got to the 2 from where three straight plays failed, the last one, a run by Jeff Wilson that was blown up by Tremaine Edmunds.

According to the Bills public relations staff, the 49ers’ 97-yard drive tied for the longest non-scoring drive in the NFL since 2006.

</snip>

Only since 2006!? What other team went 97 yards (or longer) and did not score? :classic_ohmy:

My favorite part of the game that was barely mentioned during the telecast? Diggs’ block on the Knox TD. Great stuff from a (supposedly) divaish number 1 WR.

I rewound that play 3 times just to watch Diggs throw that block. lol Another great play was Singletary cutting down a blitzing linebacker that made it possible for Allen to throw downfield. Great game all around.

Josh’s girl has some competition after that 3 hour slobberjob by the MNF crew

Started watching the game a little late, so I fast forwarded between most plays, and still caught a ton of the slobbering over Allen.

It's nice to hear a Bills player being treated like Marsha by an announce team.

Great segment, just missing a minute or two of Kay Adams.

If I were younger, a bit unstable and with some time on my hands, Kay Adams would have a restraining order out on me.
