The stat they showed in the second half where Josh had 30 dropbacks with zero pressures, hits or sacks was stunning.   Against the best defensive game planner in history, who always figures out a way to disrupt offenses, NE couldn't lay a finger on Josh.

 

The offensive schemes and OL performance continues to be a huge part of the story.

Thoughts on our defense:

 

It seems like, early on, they’re working with a bend but don’t break philosophy, content to allow teams to run and surrender field goals; and then forcing them to surrender their running game and keep up with us as we stack numbers.

 

That’s when our secondary seems to start being more aggressive, and we see more blitz packages.

Yup. Sacks count against team passing yards, but not individual.
