FOX Sports 1 host Colin Cowherd is calling on the National Football League to move the goal posts, in a manner of speaking.

The longtime talking head on Tuesday boldly claimed the league should suspend the AFC Championship Game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs - to account for the uncertainty surrounding an injury suffered by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

He loves to start stuff.  He's not wrong in that the NFL would vastly prefer Mahomes versus Allen but injuries are part of the game and changing the rules at this point would look really, really bad.

I hope the BILLS watched what happened to PM and start dialing back those kinda plays.  The idea of my franchise QB having his season ended or career shortened on a designed option running play like that makes me sick.

If the NFL changes the rules to accommodate an injured QB, the entire city of Denver should line up to flog Goodell.

They kinda got the short end of the stick on that deal anyway. The NFL delayed other games due to COVID

With all of the presented challenges, the lone screwup in an otherwise stellar season.

Kind of really liked having Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday football in addition to the other four days of the week.
