Anyone Switch to Signal as Your Messaging App

Without showing my paranoid self I'm wondering if shifting from Apple's Messages to something more secure might be a good idea.

I just use the one that comes with the phone.  90% of my text messages are grocery lists, "can you pick up the kids?", or for the past month "dude....Bills look amazing!!*", so if big brother wants to read 'em, whatever.
