And yet a guy just won a Nobel last week by showing that raising minimum wages don’t impact entry level, low skill jobs at all. (Spoiler alert). The crux of the thesis is that the employers were able to pass the increased cost to the customers. And the research was done in an era when you didn’t have as many options to automate low skilled manual work.
