Ann
"Unanticipated" shocks to the economy!? When you shutdown oil production and reverse everything Trump did that worked because either "Trump" or the "elites" want to kill the US economy, what happened was not "unanticipated" by anyone! Was this statement so the Democrats can say, "Well, it's not our fault?" I know, let's go print more money, squeeze gas prices, and place more regulations on businesses. That'll help.

Ann
16 hours ago, Foxx said: CPI due out tomorrow... Inflation rose 8.6% in May, highest since 1981 The consumer price index rose 8.6% in May from a year ago, the highest increase since December 1981. Core inflation excluding food and energy rose 6%. Both were higher than expected. Surging food, gas and energy prices all contributed to the gain, with fuel oil up 106.7% over the past year. Shelter costs, which comprise about one-third of the CPI, rose at the fastest 12-month pace in 31 years. The rise in inflation meant workers lost more ground in May, with real wages declining 0.6% from April and 3% on a 12-month basis. </snip>

He is blaming everyone but where the real fault lies (printing 40% of all dollars in circulation during the first 18 months of his term). The Russians, the oil companies, the Republicans. I'm only surprised he hasn't yet tried to put the blame on Harris yet.
