Artificial 

 

The last time I had a real tree, my son was 10. He had never experienced the “joy” of a real tree, so we got one that year to fulfill his request.  After allowing it to come to temp in the garage and have all the bugs crawl off, we still ended up with spiders in the house. The mess from the needles (even with a tree bag), combined with the bugs, made that a one and done.

 

The tree he puts up at his house is artificial. You’d think he’d want the pleasure of the real tree experience in his own home after having it denying to him when growing up.   
 

As to when it goes up… usually after thanksgiving.

I was on Team-Real for many years when my kids were little.

 

These days it a very "real looking" artificial tree........usually up around December 1st.

This is me also. I do have the big C8 bulbs but in LED's, and once they get plugged in, they are left on 24 hours a day till January 1. How I roll....

Real.  Typically a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but on occasion we get a real nice one.

 

Taken from the back yard at 1/2 time of a Bills game 1-2 weeks before Christmas.
