SBChamps2021
I'm speechless. Did anyone read Sullivan's article in the "Hapless" Niagara Gazette. He's basically calling for all the players to take one for the team and get vaccinated. He quotes McD as expressing concern for "players reluctance to doing it." There's no better way to divide a locker room and community than by trying to force experimental medical proceedures on them. I don't care if you are pro vax or anti-vax. The idea of denying fans entrance and forcing players to surrender their bodies to unproven vaccines with radical side effects is beyond disgusting. Why are writers like Sullivan and NFL execs pressuring so many people to get vexed? Could their handlers be pressuring them? Seems all the corporate elite are trying to force this on us. I'm at the end of the rope with sports about now. First the insanity of the BLM support during the riots, now this shit! Tell me I'm not the only one ready to fight back hard.
Ninety-4
I can't believe this guy still has a job and has for so long. Shows you that media jobs are like government jobs. The same people are continually employed and recycled even after years of mediocrity and incompetence.

When I started reading it I thought "this crap sounds like something Jerry Sullivan would write"... then I looked at the byline. As you say, the incompetent stick around, and so do the click-bait curmudgeons who have no useful opinions.

KD in CA
Being a crankpot douchebag is his thing and he can't write about the owner, GM or team sucking right now so he has to look for something to gain attention. No doubt he's really, really, hoping they stumble this season so he can have more material.
Alaska Darin
Huge surprise that Mr. "I'm better/smarter than everyone" can't keep his smarmy, douchy opinions to himself.

devnull
The NFL has been paying both financially and with bad PR over the concussions issue Imagine if there are any side effects to the vaccine down the road. NFL is going to be paying not only the players, but there would probably be class action lawsuits by groups of fans claiming they got the vaccine because their favorite NFL players told them to

Sullivan is the messenger The team is pressuring the players thru the media to take one for the team - a comply with NFL protocol. better approach would be to push back on NFL for continuing with fear based draconian policies with testing, masks and quarantines. they should be monitoring if a player is sick, thus having a viral load able to spread the virus. Keep that player home until well and immediately give him the available treatments. anything more is virtue signaling and fear porn.. CarpetCrawler
I'm torn here, I hope I don't lose friends over this. Yes it is everyone's personal choice and no one should be able to compel anyone to get the vaccine, either occupationally or emotionally. If you want it fine, if you don't want it fine. If the Bills want to urge the team to get it because it's in the organization's best interest, I can understand that. If the players want to say no, I can understand that too. But I'm also a lifelong Bills fan and if that has taught me anything, it's taught me that if something CAN go wrong and screw the Bills, it WILL go wrong and screw the Bills. I don't think it's a perfect vaccine, but I don't think it's an evil and inherently unsafe thing either. Will people die from it? Apparently yes, but would more people die without it? It's a terrible question to weigh and an impossible decision to make. Medical decisions are difficult ones, but usually they are logical and unemotional. Add politics to the mix and then intentions get questioned, everything becomes suspect, and the issues become a powder keg. Also beyond just the disease, you have to consider what would the status of the quarantine be, and where would the return to "normalcy" be without the vaccines? Sullivan has been a dick for decades, he's not going to stop now. If he can be controversial and push buttons he will....and he's good at it. He loves to make Bills fans squirm and he loves the attention, even if it's negative. Yes he's wrong, no I don't agree with him, but damn it if we make it to the Super Bowl this season, and #%@&-ing Mitch Trubisky is our starting QB because Josh Allen tested positive for COVID even though he is asymptomatic, I'll be swearing that MF'er Sullivan was right. I’m vaccinated, and have the same type of rational fear, though mine is of some moon-faced traffiker taking a shine to Josh Allen, Taken-ing him and forcing into a life of servitude and Albanian football. These things do happen and while rare, they tend to happen to us. Some things are bigger than football. Besides, the play of the heart should it come to pass isn’t crediting Sullivan, it’s driving to his house with torches and pitchforks for this top-level-grade-A evil-eye maloik bullsh*t. Total jinx move, and what’s right is right.

It will help a lot if you realize that if the Bills make it to the SB and Josh can't play because he didn't get the vaccine, the issue will be much less about whether Sullivan was right and more about having to tolerate listening to the batschitcrazy Bills fans who would gladly throw the young stud under the bus and to the wolves simply because they are stupid enough to think the way Sullivan does. The game would pass, but the insufferable, incessant whining of naïve Bills fans would last for years over years.

Truly just a gloried neighborhood pamphlet now. Jerry craves clicks, will say anything to get them. Don’t give him the satisfaction. least Gleason had the good sense to get out of the business, saw he is selling homes now.
