IF I put anything on French Toast it is maple syrup and/or butter.

Syrup.  If I'm out and they sprinkle a little powdered sugar on that's fine but not something I'm going to bother with at home.

Stuffed with cream cheese and jam.

Make your french toast as usual, thick bread preferred.  (*a couple of drops of rum extract in the egg mix was my grandmother's secret ingredient)

 

Then lightly coat each side with cinnamon sugar and pop it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes,

 

Top with real maple syrup of course

Real maple syrup is the key.  Butter or powered sugar are additions but not without syrup.

I like maple syrup quite a bit but, and I'm probably the only one in this room, I still like Karo syrup. That's how we ate it as kids.
