Hunter Biden's art

The thing I'm most curious about is if he's really painting these himself, or if he's hired a ghost painter.

Prior to the Biden coup, Hunter had lived his life without producing anything of value. His main function appears to have been a conduit for corruption money to flow into the Biden family. If he really is painting these, then this would probably constitute the first time in his life he's doing something useful and productive. He'd deserve credit for that, just as he would deserve credit for the high quality of the art. I don't want to deny him credit he rightfully deserves, just because his father happens to be the puppet of a plutocrat class which just ended democracy in America.

If he hired a ghost painter to do the work, then presumably his motives are payola/money laundering, plus building up his image as an artist. (As opposed to the parasite/drug addict/child porn on computer image he's had before.) But, if he's painting these himself, then presumably his motives are payola/money laundering, plus a desire to tap into a latent artistic talent.

I don't remember where I saw it, but some artists were pointing out that many of the paintings had very distinct styles that differed from one another which was a sure sign that these were painted by multiple people, probably none of them Hunter since he's never done anything useful and will probably be the reason his dad gets caught for being a corrupt slime ball.

You guys should elect someone like Justin Trudeau. That guy is so dumb that he does the pay for play stuff openly, gets slapped with multiple ethics violations, even openly bribing provinces to enforce covid passports. and then gets re-elected because Canadians like his hair. We stick to what really matters.

It's not unusual for artists to try different, varying styles...usually as students or apprentices, under the tutelage of others, experimenting with styles while they find their own.  Something you less often see from a dilettante amateur...but still possible.  There's nothing to prevent your average shmoe from researching different styles and experimenting with them.

More telling would be elements of technique.  It's tough to hide or change how you hold and move a brush, for example.  Tougher still for the self-taught artist to change that without active coaching (similar to Josh Allen working with Jordan Palmer on his throwing motion, vs. trying to change it on his own).  But you'd need to look at the original work in detail, and I'd bet most of the artists claiming Hunter's art was painted by multiple people are going off prints or online images, and haven't seen the originals.

Has anyone seen any articles on when/how this guy picked up painting and/or the numbers of painters with his level of experience selling pieces for six figures?

EXCLUSIVE: Hunter Biden faces fresh cash-for-access questions after his art dealerwho claims to be the only person to know the identity of president’s son’s art buyers - is snapped wearing Camp David hat

  •    George Berges was snapped in the cap on a friend's Instagram page
  •    The pal who shared it - gossip columnist George Wayne - captioned it: 'Were you at Camp David last weekend with your artist Hunter Biden???!!!’
  •    Was shared two days before Hunter's exhibition opened in SoHo
  •    Hunter and White House insist they don't know who'll be buying his paintings, which will go for up to $500,000
  •    But Berges does, amid ongoing concerns the artworks could be used as potential leverage by those looking to influence the president

Hunter Biden’s art dealer was photographed wearing a Camp David hat after Joe Biden visited the presidential retreat – sparking questions whether the controversial gallerist joined the first family there.

The picture was shared on Instagram - two days before Hunter’s long-anticipated exhibition made a surprise opening at Bergès gallery in SoHo on Saturday - by renowned gossip columnist and celebrity interviewer George Wayne, who claims to have introduced Hunter to the dealer, Georges Bergès.

‘GB shows up wearing a fabulous cap emblazoned with the Presidential seal and the words Camp David Presidential Retreat 46 all over it,’ Wayne wrote.

Say whaaa? Were you at Camp David last weekend with your artist Hunter Biden???!!!’

Though the writer is known for his tongue-in-cheek posts, a personal visit with the first family could prove a controversial move by the gallerist, who is under intense scrutiny amid fears that Hunter’s art sales could be a conduit for corrupt attempts to financially influence the Biden family.

Second day of Hunter Biden's NYC art show attended by only three visitors

Quote

The second day of Hunter Biden's art show in New York City featured a small number of attendees, with a total of three visitors allowed entrance to the event.

The art gallery utilized a team of lawyers to vet anyone who desired to see the show, making it nearly impossible for normal visitors to attend the event.

But yeah, his "art" is totally worth $500,000...

White House warns art world rife with money laundering as Hunter Biden sells paintings for $500,000

The White House is warning that the art world is fertile ground for money laundering and other financial crimes as the president's son, Hunter Biden, is raising eyebrows by selling paintings for up to half a million dollars — despite lacking any formal art experience.

The Biden administration released on Monday a national strategy to counter corruption, which it noted is the first of its kind.

The White House document touches on the corruption-rife art world, noting that the "markets for art and antiquities — and the market participants who facilitate transactions — are especially vulnerable to a range of financial crimes."
