China's Health Tracking System

As part of China's zero-covid policy, they apparently have institutes a color-coded system to either permit or prevent people from traveling freely about.  If you're a person who's had close contact with an infected person, your phone turns from green to yellow.  If you've tested positive for Covid-19 then your phone shows red.  Anything but green means that your movements are restricted.

Trouble is...there have been large protests recently because banks have been freezing peoples' accounts.  It has been reported more and more widely that people who are on their way to join a protest or rally have mysteriously seen their phone health code turn red, and they're promptly shipped off to a treatment center.  Sometimes I read articles like these and hear a booming voice in my head saying "your future todayyyyy!!!"
