There is only one scenario in which Trump becomes Speaker... it would be on the 17th held vote.

Well, the vote went to the 15th round but it was after midnight if I'm not mistaken before McCarthy got to the 216 he needed. So that means the date was 1/7, does that count?

Two more rounds and we would be talking about Speaker Trump right now. :classic_laugh:

"Joe Biden said this has been embarrassing for Republicans. How sad is it that us governing as the founders intended looks embarrassing to Democrats?  I'll tell you what's embarrassing. 40-year high inflation is embarrassing. 5 million illegals crossing our southern border is embarrassing/ Surrendering to ISIS and fleeing Afghanistan is embarrassing. Having a president that cant' finish his sentences is embarrassing."

I guess tanking the red wave wasn't such a good plan afterall

  • As we expected Jim Jordan will head up a new select committee to investigate the weaponization of the government
  • Mike Rogers, the incoming chair of the steering committee who threatened Gaetz on the floor, and other members behind closed doors is resigning his chairmanship
  • Mike green of the Freedom caucus has beaten Dan Crenshaw to be chair of the Homeland Security committee

Things are looking up already!

It's not like Schiff is going to lose his access to sources, though.  He's just going to end up using them to undermine the committees.  It actually might be better to keep him on the intel committee, where they can keep an eye on him.

Remember, all they can go is ask for documents, hold meetings, and hearings. Nothing else will/can happen as they do not hold the Senate or the Presidency.

On another note, if the DOJ decides to "investigate" those documents can be withheld as an "ongoing investigation."
