I kinda laughed when I saw the opener being KC/Detroit (which is a better game on the field than it appears to be).  At that point I knew we were going to be in the MNF game - it was just a matter of who the opponent was going to be.

 

It's honestly probably beneficial to play the Jets early before they have offensive cohesion.

Just realized that the Bills' opener on 9/11 is my wedding anniversary.

I've got tickets for that game.  

Mrs. snafu is a Bills fan, but I don't think she wants to spend our 30th at the Meadowlands.

I have 4 months to figure this out (i.e.: gaslight her into thinking that going to the game is her idea).

I don't think it's abnormal...and honestly we're playing earlier in London than a normal week - the only thing is the plane ride but that's not much different from playing on the West Coast.
