Taro T
Saw him perform live a couple of times. Truly a fun show. Back in the mid-90's he put on a couple of mega shows, one in Atlanta and one in New Orleans - the 1st Annual Primo Parrot Head Parties. Saw the New Orleans one. He had bands from his label playing outside the venue (the Igunas and Evangeline were 2 of them, not sure of the full lineup) but inside the stadium Little Richard was the 1st opening act and then Michael MacDonald of Doobie Brothers fame. Jimmy and the Coral Reefers played for a couple of hours and then did 3 encores. He did one final one accoustic solo encore "Chanson Por Les Petits Enfants" and then told everyone to go home he's done playing. Great show. RIP Jimmy. Edit: (forgot to add the obit. D'oh!) https://www.npr.org/2023/09/03/1197492591/jimmy-buffett-rare-skin-cancer-merkel-cell-carcinoma http://www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2023/09/02/jimmy-buffett-margaritaville-singer-dead/ 3
KD in CA
RIP to one of the all time great entertainers. Jimmy let us all occasionally dream about tossing it all aside and moving to Key West to just get drunk and screw.
