Alaska Darin Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/02/04/crush-your-retirement-savings-like-rob-gronkowski/ In his 2015 book, It's Good to Be Gronk, Gronkowski shares the habits that helped him maintain a sizable nest egg. "Look, to this day, I still haven't touched one dime of my signing bonus money or NFL contract money," the former *Patriots tight end wrote. "I live off my marketing money and haven't blown any big bucks on expensive cars, expensive jewelry or tattoos. Heck, I still wear my favorite pair of jeans from high school." Quote
Koko Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 So, the key to financial freedom in retirement is to live off endorsement deal money? 2 Quote

Live off your multi million dollar marketing/endorsement money and don't touch your salary or bonuses and you will be set. Its not hard. 2 Quote
Ann Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Live within your means, bank (invest) extra cash, is not a bad strategy. And really? Gronk was the same size in high school as he is now? Quote

The Marsha plan has always been take below market comp in exchange for signing contracts between the team and Marsha's snake oil business thus circumventing the salary cap. How that has not been seen as a massive conflict of interest is beyond me. 1 Quote
Chef Jim Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Have I told you recently that athletes have joined celebrities in my "&#%$ them" category. I wonder what he considers an expensive car? 1 Quote

There has been no indication of impropriety by the New England franchise and Marsha during that player's period of service to the franchise. 1 3 Quote
