You have no idea as to how those 7 will pan out.  A lot of draft classes have a 50 percent bust rate for 1st round picks.   Turn off the sports media which projects nearly all 1st rounders as future hall of famers and the teams taking them as SB locks.  Anything can happen at anytime.  Your Pats literally came out of nowhere when they started winning in 2001.  I don't recall any hype for them going into that season.

Helps like a WR1 would help? Nobody at 28.  And nobody in the 2nd. And it seems like moving up to the mid-first was too expensive.  I'm not sold yet on this being a rebuilding year.

Well I am a Chiefs fan and I think this was a stupid trade. We could have stayed Pat or done what Bean did and picked up picks. In the Bills situation with a lot of holes to fill he has to be surprised both Carolina and the Chiefs helped him to pick players that most likely would have still been there. It is just another gadget player along the lines of Hardman and Toney. He will never be a top fifteen receiver. Just another small receiver that will end up running three yard jet sweeps for us. Reid gets sucked into the speed and forgets about everything else.

We all know the history of the nfl and that guys have been picked in the later rounds or udfa even and have great carriers. How many did it as a rookie? 2nd year? Heck the bills made one of the greatest 11th round picks ever in Howard Ballard. One of the greatest udfa ever in Jason peters. We can go on and on with this. Was Peter’s an all pro left tackle as a rookie. Who helps Allen this year?

The Bills use Kincaid as a receiver more than as a blocker. You can't find any teams in history who've had success using a TE as a primary receiving option?   Beane didn't take any pages out of Belichick's draft book.   Worthy was always looked at as a bottom of round 1 / top of round 2 guy.  Don't puff him up just to try to make your failing point.  And like you said, he hasn't played a snap in the NFL yet, so we don't know how good or bad he will be.  Or does that statement only apply to QBs selected by NE at #3?

Forget the round. We're 7 deep in WRs off the board. You're getting a backend top 10 WR prospect at this point. At 33. Historically backend top 10 WRs are getting drafted much later.
