One of the local high schools near us banned a senior from attending graduation tonight because he mentioned, while at school, that a man is a man and a woman is a woman.

 

Principal banned him from walking at tonight's graduation.

 

Students, in turn, walk out of school in protest for the student.

How is his statement controversial? And how is it a slur?  The school suspended him for reading unapproved content? The school is tramping on first amendment rights. The newspaper is reporting facts as a slur and controversial and harmful comments!? Insanity.

I would bet an extremely large sum of money that if the student who was barred from walking in the ceremony was called a Nazi (or anything else derogatory) for his views that would not be considered to be potentially harmful speech. But as we all know, women are men, men are women, and anyone who disagrees is a fascist pig and gets what they deserve.
