They’re not showing it in most of NewenGland either, which must be particularly frustrating for the thousands of closet Giants fans in such a down year that the Premadonnaiots* are having.

It’s okay.

Both teams are 2-6.

I know they are blacking out the Cardinals game, but that shouldnt mean they don't show any NFL game(?).

It looks like they're getting the Cards game on Fox.  But the Cards didn't want to compete with another game in that time slot so CBS only gets a "single header" on Sunday w/ one of the early games.

I can't remember the last time we only got one Sunday game (not counting SNF).

It looks like they're getting 2 games.  They get the Stealers - Cincy early CBS game and the late Fox Rams - Cards game.  (Then all the other games: 3 on Thursday, 1 on BF, SNF, & MNF.)

The one they're missing is the late CBS game because the Cards don't want to compete with the Bills game nor the KC game.  They probably figure it'll be embarrassing for them to draw about 20% of the CBS game.

Back in the 70's when they would blackout the Bills games, didn't we get a substitute game in it's place?

Maybe am misremembering, but thought that back then, there would typically only be a single game on when the Bills were playing.  If they were on the road or there was the fairly infrequent sellout, it would be the Bills game shown.  If the Bills game was blacked out, there would be a different game.

The network that had the doubleheader frequently lost the 2nd game because of the Bills game.
