Bills vs Jets Week 18: The Aftermath

Scoring was all with the wind by both teams except that FG at the end of the first half by the Bills! How windy was it?

The defense came to play!  Zac Wilson will never forget this game. Poor kid. He needs to learn to toss away the ball.

Josh and his receivers looked out of sync in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but a lot of that could have been the wind.

Each of the Bills last 18 wins have been by 10+ points, the longest streak in the NFL since 1950.

Since 2019, the Bills are 19-2 in games when Josh Allen has 1+ pass TD or 1+ rush TD in the first quarter.

Josh Allen's score in the 4th qtr was his 134th career pass + rush TD. Only HOF Dan Marino (144) had more among players in their first 4 seasons in NFL history.

The Jets have had their QB sacked in 52 straight games (longest active streak in NFL).

Cole Beasley has 1+ rec in each of 46 games played since joining BUF in 2019, tied with Andre Reed for the 5th-longest streak in team history.

First time since 1995 the Bills have clinched the division in front of a home crowd since 1995.

If you watched the first ten minutes and the last ten minutes you probably figure this team is on the road to the Super Bowl.

It must have been windier than they were saying on TV because the offense was very bad in the 2Q-3Q.

They were playing against a JV offense today, but credit the defense with an outstanding effort.

If Haack was a kicker, they'd be planning for tryouts on Monday.

In Haack's defense, it was the first time in 21 days he was asked to punt.

Which means he should have been well rested and practiced

So they lost 82 yards on sacks?  :classic_blink:

Yup. I'm watching the Jets SNY post game show, and they confirmed.

That sounds about right.  Wilson has a really bad habit of going backwards when he gets into trouble.

The Bills had more sacks (9) than Zac Wilson had completions (7/20).

But Zac Wilson had fewer interceptions than Mac Jones.
