Week 9 saw the first of the NFL's head coaches hit the unemployment line. Josh McDaniels was unceremoniously let go from the Las Vegas Raiders. Antonio Pierce was installed in his place and it seemed like the entire Raiders' roster rejoiced. They certainly played like it. Scoring more points in the first half than they had scored in any one game this season. Enroute to a through shellacking of the hapless NY Giants.

Rumors are circulating within journalist circles that should Week 10 see the Patriots return from Germany with a loss to the Colts, and a record of 2-8, their much ballyhooed head coach, Bill Belichick, could be let go. The Patriot Way hasn't been the same since Tom Brady left town. Leaving the believed genius status of their feared leader in great question.

If the playoffs began today, every team in the AFCN would make the playoffs. Leading the division is the Ravens, who are a game and a half up on the rest of the division. The other three are all tied at 5-3. If any of the other three are going to make the playoffs at the end of the season, they will more than likely need to have 9 wins.

The Meg 2: The Trench is on again Sunday at 2:30.  Jason Statham stabs a 100-foot shark through the head with a helicopter rotor blade, if you're looking to watch something less absurd than an National Officiating League refereeing contest.

I've completely given up on football, I refuse to watch another down of it.

But Panthers-Bears are playing tonight, so I guess I can tune in to that.

I think Megalodon is on SYFY in case you need it.

Carolina vs Bears tonight?!? :vomit:

The Bears, owners of Carolina's first draft pick, want to beat them tonight to help possibly get the first overall.

No, watching Jason Statham stab a 100-foot shark through - not in, but through - the head with a helicopter rotor blade has spoiled all other shark movies for me.  I mean...they had a dog named "Pippin" on an island called "Fun Island."  How can I ever watch Jaws again after that?

Maybe I'll rewatch The War of the Gargantuas on YouTube.  It might be Nakajima Haruo's best performance - the gargantua costume was much more flexible that most of the costumes he wore, and it exposes his eyes.  It leads to a much more nuanced and emotional performance that, say, as the moth larva in Mothra or as Godzilla in Ghidora.

I think Monster Zero is my favorite Gojira movie.

Who's got the better beard, Fitzy or Kelce?

Fitz.

I don't even have to see.  Fitz's beard has its own ecosystem.

It's hard to understand each year how teams can spend $200 million on player salaries and look like a mediocre high school team, but we're seeing it tonight.

Take that back.

I will not sit here and let you insult high school football like that.
