I'll start...

I always find the cover of The Economist interesting, as it tries to portray what it believes will be of importance in the coming year.

2024 economist.webp

Just an attempt here to possibly deconstruct the image.

Silhouettes of six individuals are shown. On the top right, what looks to be a silhouette of Putin, is connected to a silhouette of Trump, of which, that portion then connects to a dove with an olive branch. On the top left, we see what looks to be Zelenskyy connected to a non-descript silhouette of a female with a ponytail, of which, that portion connects to bombs. Both the top left and right portions connect to the top of an hourglass. The bottom portion of the hourglass connects to what looks like a ballot box.

Not to be left out are the rest of the top left and right aspects. The top right with Putin and Trump appears to be a rocket with boosters connected to a satellite which then connects to a question mark. The top left with Zelenskyy appears to connect to a rocket which connects to a lander connected to a question mark.

The bottom of the ballot box has a question mark in the circles stretching from one side of the image to the other (more on this later on here). The question mark connects to not only the bottom left and bottom right but also the middle portions of the image on both sides (again, more on this later on here).

The bottom right has what appears to be a silhouette of Xi connected to both of the images of the globe at the bottom center. The upper globe image looks to be S. America and the bottom image looks to be Indo-China(?). Also on that right side is what appears to be a thermometer, fire, a question mark, a battery, a car, and rare earths. Of which, are only connected to the bottom globe image of Indo-China.

The bottom left has what appears to be a silhouette of a nondescript male, who is also connected to the two globe images. Also on the left side are what appears to be a hurricane(?), a question mark, a windmill, electricity, and two more possible rare earths(?), which are also connected to the lower globe image of Indo-China.

The center portion of the image is delineated by a line of two circles passing through/by one another. The top line is of black and white circles, whereas the bottom line has circles of red and blue. My impression of the top line of circles would be that they represent the penumbral lunar eclipse coming this year (March 25th). What is interesting to me about the line of circles at the bottom of the middle portion is that, while the top line begins with the black circle starting the left line and ends on the right, the bottom line of red and blue circles doesn't do that. The right side of the bottom line is the same as the left.

The left middle portion shows what appears to be human brains connected to... AI(?). The right middle portion shows, what are, falling indices, connected to question marks at the top and bottom of the image. The top question mark is connected to the British Pound Sterling and Euro, while the bottom question mark is connected to the USD and the Yen. Next to that image, connected to the USD and Yen images, is what looks like a cargo ship with shipping containers stacked high.

What do the red, blue, and gray colors represent in the boxes (circles too)? The right-wing, left-wing, and independents?

It's all just fascinating to me.

"Reimagined social contracts?"  Government doesn't define "social contracts,' it's a result of the "social contracts."  That right there tells you all you need to know about ChatGPT's training set.

And later, when I have some time, I'm going to get into a discussion with it about "reimagining the social contract."  Let's see if I can blow it up again.

Well, I will give it a try.

2024

Politics:

Donald Trump will not be allowed to win the Presidency.  I am not sure what conviction or new scandal they will put their efforts behind, but it will happen.

I would like to think that the "people will rise up in indignation", but that won't happen either.

Joe Biden will not be the president either. He will back out for "personal reasons" also. (forced out)

I cannot begin to think who WILL be our next President, but it will be another in D.C. puppet.

Sports:

49'ers will win the Super Bowl.

Rangers will win the Stanley Cup (over the Canucks)

No one cares who wins the NBA.

Dodgers win the Series, (and no one will like it)

Tiger will go into a playoff in one of the Majors, but still lose.

There will be a terror attack at the Olympics

Other:

Oscar goes to . . . . . . . Barbie  (upset)

Ozempic will become the best selling drug in the U.S.

Multiple Labor strikes, Public and private, will hit all across the U.S.

Deaths:

Senator Charles Grassley

William Jefferson Clinton.

Dick Van Dyke

James Earl Carter

June Lockhart.

Jim Lovell

Willie Mays

Let's see what the professionals have to say.

What's coming in 2024 according to Nostradamus?

  • "The dry earth will grow more parched" he predicts in one quatrain, "and there will be great floods."

If these visions are accurate we are in for even more calamitous climate events in 2024 than we've experienced.

  • "Combat and naval battle. Red adversary will become pale with fear/putting the great Ocean in dread"

Many interpret this as a confrontation with China and NATO perhaps. However, this genius believes it's again a reference to climate change and that the Red in this case might signify the sun and a global event that might see some kind of haze cast over it.

  • "King of the Isles" who has a controversial divorce "driven out by force" and who is replaced by "one who will have no mark of a king".
Some believe this refers to King Charles and prodigal son Harry. Expect some kind of tumult involving the new king.

  • "Through the death of the very old Pontiff/A Roman of good age will be elected" he writes.

Old Popes seems like an easy one to predict, but interestingly he describes this new vigorous Pope as someone who will "weaken his see". Not everything has to be doom and gloom though, perhaps this means new and progressive changes might dominate new church rules.

Congressional Republicans hold Impeachment Hearings.  They backfire in the media.  Biden's poll numbers go up.  However a substantial amount of legally damning evidence is introduced into the public record.

Blue states bring back COVID porn, implementing limited lock downs, which the population generally ignores.  Blue city mayors in Red states also attempt lockdowns but are overruled by their Governors.

Biden declares he will not seek re-election due to an undisclosed health issue and to end the attacks on his family.  In reality, a backroom deal was made to avoid criminal charges against members of his family.  Democrats do not have enough time to hold a traditional primary and opt for a series of unofficial caucuses.

Trump dominates the Republican primaries with Haley a distant second.

Joe Manchin runs under the No Labels Party.

RFK Jr withdraws from the race to become Machin's running mate

Climate protestors bring their disruptive protests to America.  They are not well received.  Climate Cultists forge a political alliance with Gun Control Freaks after a Climate protestor is shot

The Federal Reserve is done raising rates and begins cutting

Stocks surge

Inflation is still higher than it should be, but lower than it has been.  People have short attention spans so Biden claims credit for lowering inflation

Chaos at both party Conventions.  Protestors outside and shenanigans inside.

Democrats, not having enough time to hold primaries due to Biden's late exit, held a a series of unofficial caucuses.  These were all for show.  The real nomination is a power struggle between the Clinton wing and the Obama wing.  Depending which wing wins out, the Democrat ticket will either be Kamala Harris & John Kerry, or Gavin Newsome and Hiliary Clinton.

Republicans, unsure of Trump's legal situation, declare Trump ineligible and the nomination goes to a floor vote.  The MAGA wing takes to social media.  Ancient swamp creatures thought extinct float to the surface.  Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Lindsay Graham, John Kasich, Paul Ryan, and all the old RINOs make one last charge.  But ultimately the Republicans nominate their runner up, Nikki Haley.  With Vivek Ramaswamy as her running mate to attempt to placate the MAGA wing.

Election day is not the same clusterf*ck as 2020.  But there are irregularities as the Democrats maintain control of the White House.

MAGA melts down

Meanwhile in Virginia.  Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears announces that she will not run for Governor in 2025, leading to speculation that she will challenge Mark Warner in 2026.  Term limited Governor Glenn Youngkin quietly begins working towards becoming the Republicans 2028 front runner

Cheating in the 2024 election is so massive normies see it, but nothing is done about it on a Federal (and some state) level.  Trump will not be allowed to be President again.
As soon as the D is installed in the WH again, gas prices rise so high that the economy dies. Buy an EV is pushed by the government.
More money is siphoned off from the US taxpayers to pay for a "war" in a new country, kickbacks abound to the "elite."

IOW, rinse and repeat.

The decarbonization of industry, great. Looks like that transitory inflation isn't going to go away anytime soon. Does the FED still pivot?

An announcement that we have made contact with an alien lifeform will be made. As governments claim they are still trying to interpret the messages being received, talk of forming a one world government to meet this new challenge from beyond is applauded by the dumb masses

Just as the messages are interpreted millions of people across the world vanish in the twinkling of an eye leading the new government to claim those still left had evolved to a new level in order to welcome their new friends. Of course those missing failed to evolve because of their belief in a false religion the aliens will help the world to correct

I believe the cabal system breaks this year. This was exactly what I was thinking last week when the thread started. That said, the pain will be short lived. It will seem bleak for a moment. If you have faith in God this is the time to stay at his throne. We break through this year but not without just a little more pain.
