I will be at work. Will step outside for 10 minutes.... step inside and punch out....go home. We are in the path of totality. Yippie.

Actually it will be cool to see. Oldest son has a telescope with a recording device of some sort and a filter. Bought that for himself when his fiancé went nuts and dumped him. I will post the video or pics here when he downloads it.

What kind of wine do you recommend for an eclipse?

The kind that you don’t mind spilling because it will be dark and you’ll be looking at the sky.

I’m driving up to Buffalo.  After the last recent eclipse (6 years ago) I found out about this one.  I’m no sky-watcher, but I’ve been planning on driving up since then.  The last eclipse was not total in NYC, but it was pretty good.  Everyone says that totality is another thing altogether.  If I didn’t have family there, I wouldn’t be going.

Im leaving Saturday. I’ll use this as a typical trip to visit family.  Especially my mom, who isn’t getting any younger. I’ll be seeing a sick friend, too. We’re tight. Best man at each other’s weddings.

On Monday I hope to be at the cemetery where my dad is.  He died on April 8.  I figure it would be nice to sit for awhile with him.  I’m hoping they don’t close the cemetery on Monday.  Forest Lawn is closing (he’s not there).  Tried calling them twice yesterday but there was no answer.  That place is like a ghost town.

Whether the clouds hold off or not, this trip won’t be a waste for me.

Yes, slightly. I was parking my car in Brooklyn.  First I thought my engine was acting up, causing a shudder.  Then I thought it was a FedEx truck.  My wife called me right after, from LI, and said that the house shook pretty good.  She was rattled (ha ha).

What with this earthquake and the eclipse I figure the frogs and locust are up next.

Cemetery will be locking its gates at Noon on Monday.  That sucks.

I'll go in the AM and do some sprucing up to the headstone. Pay my respects.

My son was driving in Eastern Pennsylvania and that's what he thought, that something was wrong with his steering.

Drink two full bottles and you won’t need the glasses.
