I have heard his music so many times. Grandma on my moms side had so many of his albums. Loved them playing on her turntable growing up. That all said, I think this is the first time I have seen him sing. He put as much into his songs as he did his trumpet!

You can't duplicate this guitar work any more than you can decipher the Louie Louie lyrics... was very cool to see the red Rickenbacker he played on this in Orlando a couple of decades back. Came out of the elevator, turned left, and there it was. Stopped me in my tracks.

It's my twelve string, missing three strings, with the sixth string dropped to "A".

 

(Except when I was repairing the nut on my 12 string, the belt sander shot it across the workshop, and now I can't find it.)
