I'm not a draft guy, so I ask this question sincerely: how likely is it that teams have pre-draft visits with players they have no intention of drafting for the sole purpose of throwing other teams off?

It happens - smokescreens happen all the time.

 

I tend to think an interview can also be 'the nail in the coffin' with a highly rated guy. In other words some top 2 round prospect everyone is hot on is not that high on your board. But you bring him in to see if he wows, or completes the final decision to pass on him. I hope that was the deal with OG Torrance.

The time spent with Torrence is probably to get inside info on the 2 safeties and Dexter - who he played against in practice every day

Skip Bayless never played football and it's never been more obvious.  I love that he used Kliff Kingsbury.
