Winter weather advisories in place south of Buffalo through Thursday

Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy with a few lake snow showers around mainly south of Buffalo. Lows will stay 'mild,' falling to near 30.

A weak system will arrive Thursday, bringing light snow to all. For most, 1-3" will accumulate. Areas south of Buffalo will see totals anywhere from 6-12" by the end of the day.

Friday will be quiet, but this weekend will be very active. Especially Saturday night through Sunday, expect strong winds, a huge temperature drop and lake-effect snow.
