I have never been to Long Island so I can’t tell you either way but Montreal bagels are by far superior to New York bagels I’ve tried in the city .

Gotta get out on the LIE and head east. Only thing I have had in Montreal was a hotdog at the stadium when watching the Mets win. Weird how people cant give directions to English speaking folk.

We went out to see family a number of years ago. My brother told me to pick him up a couple dozen. I did. I didn't think he would realize when I got to his place to drop them off that I ate the 2 from the 2 bakers dozen on the way. Hey, dont judge me. 6 1/2 hours is a long time. When I told him he didn't owe me anything suddenly it was ok.

Last time I was in NJ in '76 with Uncle Joe we stopped on the parkway and he sees someone he knows pull up next to us. I roll down my window and the women next to me says in a Jewish accent, "You want a bagel?

Almost 50 years later and I still chuckle at that memory.
