10 to 15 would have gotten you Brian Thomas and a huge waste of draft capital.  Good job, you're already fired.

Yeah, before the draft started, had hoped they'd trade up to ~20 to grab Thomas, and when he went at 23 was disappointed.  But Beane has earned the benefit of the doubt.

That he didn't have to burn the pick he got for Diggs to get Coleman could very well put that non-move into the Bills win column.  Thomas or Coleman and early to mid 2nd rounder next year.  That could very likely work out where Coleman PLUS that other player end up more valuable than Thomas (who is going to be a very good player).

I wanted to go into the top 10 maybe 15 for Thomas if they liked him. You keep all these picks if you rebuild. How many of these picks will be cut or on the practice squad and get poached by other teams? Real valuable! Get Josh Allen killed running all over the place. That will get you fired. It’s only a matter of time.

Beane still can make a trade for another player even with the draft now concluded.  I would hate to see him dip heavily into the 2025 stock pile but he could make a major move and still have plenty of picks left for a productive 2025 draft.  As it stands now he has 4 picks in the three top rounds and six picks in the top 4 rounds.

And top 10-15 is where I wanted the bills to trade up to. Get one of the young studs wr and pair him with Josh for the next decade on a cost controlled contract.

Next year we will be signing a very expensive free agent or right back here needing to draft a wr. I don’t want the expensive free agent.

The only WR in that range runs one route, the 9.

big and fast, but has no ability to run a route tree and has a bum shoulder to boot.

not sure how that improves the playoff situation where CBs are clutching and grabbing your speed demon WR.

if they need another WR  next year, Beane has the assets to make that happen.

by staggering the contract years, they both won't need new deals in the same year.

Don’t forget the extra bonus of playing a softer schedule.

And I was always happier when the Bills only played 1:00 games on Sunday with Sam Rutigliano doing color commentary.  Being in the spotlight carries wayyy too much pressure.

While I would agree that the quality was good in the first round there were very few trades to move up.  This was either due to cost being far too high or real value not being as good as it appeared to casual observers such as fans.

We’ll see how it plays out? All I can do now is hope. All I’m saying is I wanted help this year not next. Maybe Coleman will surprise us. He’s a Buffalo Bill now so I will be rooting for him.

Absolutely! Is there anything sweeter than a chorus in April that sings, “We won the Draft,” or a July refrain of “We won the Offseason, or the Monday after after Week 3 of the season that has a parade of fans chanting, “We just won the Super-Bowl!”

I just don’t know why they bother to play the games anymore.

Didn't expect they'd need to be higher than 18 to get Thomas and as it turned out, just getting to 22 would've made it happen.  Either the cost to make even that sort of move was very high or they were much higher on Coleman than people expected.  (Expect it was actually a combination of the 2.)

Would in general agree that the plethora of picks would be key in a rebuild; but personally believe they help in a retool too.  Allen starts costing them big bucks and they can no longer afford to have serious cap tied up in their STs players.  As they're losing their 3 key non-specialist STers, there are legit roles for these later round STers to be day 1 contributors even if they aren't supplanting Milano, Oliver, Jones, nor McGovern (though the kid out of Georgia could be supplanting McGovern before we see November).

Not sure why you expect Allen to get killed this year.  4 of last year's starting 5 are back (though only 3 are pencilled in where they played last year) and if the kid from UGa is all he's talked up to be he could be a net break even (or close to it) with Morse and the other 4 are exactly who they had last year and none of them are past their prime.

My 2 cents.

It’s more that Allen runs a lot. Not necessarily getting killed behind the line. He’s a beast but one day I am afraid that the law of averages will catch up to him and he will get hurt, tear a knee, something. The more weapons we have the better, take some pressure off him. I’m thinking he will need to put the cape on again this year if the bills are going to do much, hopefully not. Maybe Coleman will come along faster than we think. All we can do now is hope it all works out. Now I’m hoping when whites contract comes off the books June 1 a wr from another team is set free that we can pick up like Lenard Floyd last year.

How did Tom Brady make it so long in the New England without either running OR having high level weapons outside of the tight end position for like 99% of the seasons?  New England's highest level "receivers" the last 5 years of Brady's career were those ultra athletes Julian Edelman and James White.  The went to THREE Super Bowls.

Jesus Christ, the sky isn't falling at all.
